We rarely write reviews; however, we have to share the AMAZING results George Bolte’s positive dog training has made with our dog, Murphy, a shelter rescue. When Murphy began to jump over our backyard fence, we were concerned. When an angry neighbor threatened to harm our pet, we were alarmed. We researched dog trainers in the area and called George. We met the next day and were impressed with his techniques; better yet, Murphy liked George as much as we did. Murphy responded to the training; he never again jumped over the fence.We have owned dogs over many years and worked with various trainers. Simply stated, George Bolte is the BEST and like no other. We hired George for dog training after our friend recommended him. We had recently adopted a dog, Tiger who came from an unstable home and was struggling with serious anxiety issues. While Tiger is a dog who needs a fair amount of time to recover from his past bad experiences, George has been a perfect fit to help him get there. He has an incredible amount of knowledge and experience working with dogs. Just by using calming body language, he was able to get Tiger, who is typically very fearful of strangers, to open up and work with him during the first ten minutes of the first session. George also clearly and thoroughly explains training techniques during each lesson and adjusts the recommended techniques according to the particular dog’. Most importantly, he supports a philosophy of positive training, not punishment, that ensures dogs will lead a happy life in which they are confident in themselves while also respectful of their owners. He also sends lots of resources (articles, worksheets etc) in between each lesson so you can work on training independently and research the logic behind each technique. We’ve been working with George for about a month now and not only is Tiger MUCH happier and more confident at home, but our relationship with him and ability to get him to listen us is so so much stronger. Overall, we can’t recommend George enough. We believe he is the best dog trainer you could find and will not only make your dog obedient but happy and healthy!!

My husband Chris and I have known George for 25 years. He has always been a kind, passionate and caring person to our dogs. A year and a half ago we were given a 7 month old Weimaraner, Gauge. We knew she needed some training and most of all we needed to be trained. The only person we would trust to help us was George. When training Gauge he would explain why techniques were used and would show us how to be consistent with our training. Always giving us tips and checking in with us after our sessions. Sending emails and texts with helpful hints, and recommending books too. A Weimaraner is a very smart yet stubborn breed and with George’s help she is a well behaved dog and all done with positive training 🥰. Gauge also dock jumps and George even gave us suggestions on how to help keep her “on the spot” when ready to jump. Whenever Gauge hears the name George she goes crazy and cannot wait to get loves from him. Recently George and Chris went mountain with Gauge for pleasure yet George gave Chris some great suggestions for keeping her closer to him during her off leash time. We highly recommend George. We rescued a 2-year-old dog, Teddy, who was not great with strangers and visitors. George was expert at navigating Teddy’s “quirks,” and Teddy quickly took to him. It’s clear that George has years and years of experience working with companion dogs. His methods are both kind and extremely effective. Since we started working with George and implementing his methods, Teddy has become a calmer, happier dog who obeys a number of cues. George demonstrates and explains things in a clear way and gives some insight into the pup's thinking--that is, he explains why we're doing what we're doing and why it works. A couple of years ago, George helped us when we were desperately trying to make life with a blind rescued German Shepard work in our family. What stood out the most, was his respect & patience for our furry new family member. Just wanted to give you an update on my dog Gauge's progress after our training was completed several months ago. I now can take her confidently into Home Depot or Lowe's without fear of bad behavior. We are currently competing in several "dock diving" events with her with great results. She is still a high drive pup but we have control of her in these very stimulating environments. My favorite time with her is trail running on the mountain bike. She now stays fairly close to me (except for brief bunny chases) and always returns to the whistle command that you showed us. I especially appreciate the two times you brought your bike and rode with us to observe and help me fine tune Gauge as a trail dog. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and patience with both me and my dog. It definitely paid off with great results. George Bolte is an amazing trainer in the most important way: He trains us! I wish I had known him when we were dealing with our first dog. But still, because we favor rescues who often need extra reassurances, I am so thankful to know him now. He helped us with aggressive behavior of our older dog to a new arrival who was quite terrified of men, including my husband, who had chosen to rescue him. We got a new rescue a few weeks ago, and although she is a sweetie and took to us and our other dogs rather well, still George’s advice is with me as we work to make this transition good for all our household, now three dogs and a cat and two humans. Agree with the other reviews! We were apprehensive when we brought home our 85+lb 'Lola' from the shelter. George was recommended to us by a friend so we scheduled training sessions right away. Despite Lola's lack of previous training George reassured us that she had the potential to do well. Sure enough, she has become the perfect lady and we bring her with us everywhere dogs are allowed.
